It was built in the 17th century and consecrated in 1689, as reported by the epigraph on the external portal. In 1959 the church became officially a parish, though it returned to be a branch of the church of Torsa after a few years. On September 7th, 1968 the archbishop of Udine Giuseppe Zaffonato consecrated the new main altar. In 2000, the church was restored.
